My 'why' is simple: a life lived for God and others is a life worthwhile.

My guiding questions focus on facilitating self-discovery and using my skills to help others.

For over 30 years, I've advised dentists on transitioning practices, practice management and leadership while also engaging in community service like boy scouts, coaching baseball, and entertaining kids with magic tricks.

In 1972, I served a church mission in Taiwan. I’ve been happily married for 48 years with seven children and 19 grandchildren. Currently, I'm doing humanitarian work through long-distance cycling to raise awareness and funds for South Sudan and other charities. Helping with humanitarian work and servicing as a service missionary for LDS employment resources, I aim to pay forward the blessings I've received.

After 30 years of running, I embraced cycling by embarking on challenging rides to support causes I believe in. Inspired by British cycling's success through marginal gains, I've seen firsthand how small improvements accumulate into significant achievements.

My journey into cycling started after multiple knee surgeries forced me to explore new forms of exercise. Encouraged by a friend, I delved into long-distance rides, finding purpose in raising funds for charity. Despite initial doubts and fears, I completed challenging rides like Route 66, Great Divide, Pacific Coast Highway and riding the same route as the 2023 Tour de France, fueled by support from loved ones and a desire to make a difference.

Embracing Sir Dave Brailsford's philosophy of marginal gains as described in James Clear book “Atomic Habits, I've seen how continuous improvement leads to remarkable outcomes. British cycling's transformation exemplifies the power of incremental progress, a principle I apply to personal growth and fulfillment. With support from my wife Sarah, family, and friends, I continue to strive for meaningful connections and opportunities to uplift others.

By day, I wear two hats: accountant and volunteer employment service missionary. As a part-time accountant, I enjoy delving into the financial stories behind the success of small businesses, particularly dental practices (one client for 34 years!). My investigative nature (according to the Holland Code) thrives on untangling the details.

But my passion extends beyond the balance sheet. For over two years, I've facilitated an online job search group, empowering others to find their dream careers. This aligns with my own journey – I'm an avid reader, having devoured books on career exploration, and am excited to be charting a new course.

In my free time, you'll find me with a camera in hand. I have a keen eye for capturing the beauty of nature, especially birds, as showcased in my annual bird photography calendar (eight years running!). Art therapy also piques my curiosity, and I've even experimented with using client drawings to visualize their practice's potential.

I'm a curious soul who thrives on helping others and myself find success, both financially and personally.
